Ms. Heddy Yuan is the Marketing Vice President, Gum, Candy & Powder Beverage at Mondelēz China. Heddy joined Mondelez China in February 2012 as a China Strategy and Consumer Insights Director and led the China Strategy and Consumer Insights function. She has worked in functions across marketing and insights & analytics, taking up her current role in 2017. In this role, she leads the company’s gum, candy and powder beverage business in China, which are worth millions of dollars with well-known brands including Stride, Trident, Choclairs, Hall, and Tang. Her team has built Stride’s “unstoppable passion” brand equity and its holistic marketing campaign which has driven a tremendous increase in consumer awareness and sales.
Heddy has more than 20 years of experience working in the FMCG industry. She started her career in Procter & Gamble in Guangzhou, where she progressed from a Personal Cleaning Category and Feminine Care Commercial Manager to an Associate Director, Asia Commercial Insights in Singapore. During these years, she successfully developed breakthrough brands in store strategy to enhance equity and offtake, while she managed a diversified team across Asia.
Heddy graduated from Nanjing University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering. She is married and has a son. Her family resides in Shanghai, China.
