    Before joining Philips in 2012, Blake worked at Visible Technologies where he was responsible for developing and leading all activities related to business and brand development, market positioning and thought leadership in the area of social media and brand monitoring for a market leading enterprise software solution. Following his experience at Visible Technologies, he joined Banyan Branch where he led client execution, acquisition and thought leadership at this leading Digital agency that he sold to Deloitte.

He has worked across many categories in consumer healthcare, building up a strong track record in launching and growing category leading brands.

    He was the key driver of the pan-European roll-out of Parodontax which became the fastest growing Oral Care brand on the continent. Following this, Gijs built a solid innovation pipeline for the Gum Care business.

    In 2010, he took on the role of Regional Marketing Director for the Wellness category in the Middle East. Within three years, he supported the region’s business growth to over 20% year-on-year and acquired strong market share gains for the category.

    During his time as General Manager for Singapore he turned around and established a strong performing business with leading positions across categories, as well as leading the integration of the Novartis business post the joint venture.
